Name your duck family and go on a journey through the wasteland where you will meet the worst duck-kind has to offer, but also fragments of good that persevere. The game is inspired by games like The Oregon Trail, where you make choices before traveling further. It's meant to be quite difficult, so more than one try is recommended.
Encounters can be swift, or they can be gruesome - fighting is not always the best option, but a sacrifice might spell disaster. Good luck!

A heartbreaking game... I included it in my GM48: Sacrifice compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://youtu.be/qZITVIm2pYI

My poor family :( I'm a monster. I just sacrificed them all right away because it was easier to survive with out them... This is a great start! And a really nice use of the theme. I'd love to see if you guys do more to this! Also I really like the graphics.
The font was a little hard to read to at times. Besides lack of content (I understand. 48 hours and all) that's my only gripe.
Good job!

I feel like you and your children die way too fast. This isn't only an issue because of difficulty, it's an issue because it means you never get to make any interesting decisions. There not much of a choice between sacrificing a child or getting into a fight if a child is going to die in the fight anyway. You pretty much always die before having to worry about supplies, and even if you do survive long enough resting barely ever seems to work once a couple of your children are dead so there's nothing to use supplies on anyway. This basically turns the game from a survival game into an annoyingly hard action game.
That said, I do like what you were going for. I think this has a lot of potential if it were just tweaked a bit. The presentation is definitely great, with some nice sprites for enemies and allies, a cool background, and fitting sound effects. The bits of text when you rest also do a good job of setting the tone for the game.

Really cool game, but it's missing some variety with the events, it gets repetitive even before reaching the end :( But the shooting was pretty good.

Awesome game, the connection to the theme is really strong and the main focus of it.
The art is really good, the sound is appropriate, and the game is balanced, my only complaint is that there's no good ending, even if you manage to bring all 3 ducklings all the way to the end.
The story was great btw, and I like how you explain the relationship between the dad and the ducklings while they rest.
Overall an awesome game, too bad that it never ends well.

Haha I loved the "bad" ending. Can you win the siege at the end?
Putting that quote aside, I didn't expect this game to be so harrowing. The sparse sound design was ominous as the coyotes (?) trotted into view. It was pretty tense. The dream sequences were surprisingly hard hitting. Yeah, you have just enough minimalism to hit where it hurts.
Anyway, this game is hard! But not because of the controls, they were very responsive. Mostly because I was more focused on keeping my ducklings alive. If I just focused on Dad, I probably could have made it... But I suppose that's the point.
Also I loved the graphics. Great cartoon style!
Nice job! Very well made game :D

Haha, the bad ending is the only ending I'm afraid. We didn't have much time left, so we decided that the player was gonna run into a bitter end no matter the outcome - "there's no stopping entropy". I'm glad you liked the texts. We went with antropomorphic ducks partly because it lightens the mood in a pretty dark setting.
And the game was supposed to be punishing, but I could have balanced it a bit better for sure!

Nice! I really love that you can name your family! With the bit of roleplay, it makes it rather cool. The sacrifice makes sense and remains punishing but gives you an advantage (less people to protect, less supplies to use).
However, the fight is rather difficult. I would have appreciated to have some kind of crescendo (easier in the beginning)
Aside thaat, pretty fun!

Pretty punishing gameplay but I guess that's the point. It would be neat if this one grew into a more fleshed out game.
Overall it was really polished. The combat was difficult but fair if you only had yourself and maybe one other duck. If you go into combat with a full party it becomes a massacre. Not a complaint, just an observation. I feel like that's by design.
Anyway, it was fun. High five!

Cute ducks, reminds me of a ducktales x borderlands. The combat is unforgiving, but it runs extremely smoothly. I like the gameplay and the artstyle. I'd play a mobile game where it's wasteland exploration but with cute disney toons. Totally.
