Cute platformer! I included it in my GM48: Collect! compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://youtu.be/yIsOdyc3NkA

I feel the controls weren't quite as tight as a game this difficult needs, but I still had fun. It felt as if the wall boost happened at random, or it required perfectly placed inputs which was annoying for a move you need to do to beat the game, but in the end I did it! Graphics are super clean and the music has a nice groove to it, I honestly wouldn't mind more paper boi with slightly cleaner controls (and controller support :p)

Cool platformer, I felt the difficulty was a little too much for someone who isn't super inclined to this sort of precision platformer. Still enjoyed the game. The art was solid, as well as the movement which took a bit to get used to. The only thing missing were some sound effects to really bring me into the game. Good work boi :)

Pretty hard game, but quite fun to play! Actually had a blast, gave me some Celeste vibes, which is nice.

Feel of the character is a bit weird at first, but you get used to it pretty fast :)

Going into fullscreen mode kind of ruined the first little menu and the level transitions

Dude, this was fun. Also hard, but I managed to beat it with every silver letter collected! That last level was a real bitch. At first I thought all silver letters were optional, but it felt like they were basically required in some levels? 🤔

I discovered that the spike's hitbox is slightly narrower than the platforms, so you can stand on the corner of a platform even if there's a spike on it. It was a little helpful in a few levels. I was unsure if this was intentional or not.

The HUD is messed up when fullscreened.

    Anyway, great job.

This game was definitely a challenge! The graphics are nice and the music is alright. The rain effect definitely adds something here!

There were numerous times where I was maybe 1 last attempt away from quitting the game, and then suddenly I would finally get past the level I was stuck on. So with that in mind, I think I will mirror Yosi's sentiments -- there could have been more done to introduce the various jumping techniques and make the difficulty curve a bit less steep. In some cases, I think the game is just too hard, requiring too much precision (granted, maybe I'm just not the audience for this, I don't know).

But I will admit it's a rush when you beat a level that's been kicking your butt!

I think it could have used some sounds -- jumping, landing, collecting, and dying and whatnot. I'm guessing there wasn't enough time though, it happens.

I was wondering if there's a purpose to collecting the other papers/letters?

I know I criticized a lot, but Paper Boi has a lot of good points too and I had fun with it!

PS. I made a video of my playthrough, if you want to revel in my struggles XD

Really good game overall, I just wish grabbing a ledge from above was a little simpler.

Other that that, I think the biggest issue is that the first half seems harder than the second, especially for the special letters, like the one on your gif. This gives the impression that the game is way harder than it really is, and I'm guessing some people gave up on it pretty early on.

I loved the art style and gameplay. I think this definitely could be expanded into a full game. Great job!

The art is really good, very strong style and the extra visual elements like the rain and wind give you a good sense of environment.

Very mario-esque control scheme, the game plays well. However, being able to run on spikes seemed inconsistent, especially on the last level, even after building up speed with a ledge jump it seemed to only work about 50% of the time.

Cool platformer with basic, enjoyable mechanics. I had fun trying to collect every letter. Art wasn't exceptional but did the trick. Most of the level design was good.

    Nice work!

I really like the style, it's very funky and a good retro vibe about it. The only thing I think this needs is a title screen and some sort of tutorial, I was stuck for a while figuring out how to get past even Level 2 before realising how to properly pull off the glide move - but once I figured it out, I got in to the groove of it, so good job! :)

This is a good and challenging platformer. The mechanics are pretty neat, but they could have been taught better through level design I think. The difficulty curve is pretty steep, and I think level 3 is the hardest level in the game, but I still enjoyed playing the game a lot!
