Splood is a platformer where you use a Goop Gun to shoot goop-ish paint, causing knockback.

The Goop Gun will help you reach your goal, but it may also hinder you, so use it with care!

Lovely graphics, challenging game. I included it in my compilation video series of all of the GM48 games, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://youtu.be/Lt8bNQTICns

The artstyle and music are great, the level design and gameplay are also not that bad, even though the movement felt frustrating at times.

Fun game and cool concept, there were some small problems in level design but nothing too bad for a gamejam. I just wish the gun had a more "harmful" side other than the goop lowering your jump height. This feature almost didn't change anything in the way I played, apart from forcing me to jump from another spot slightly to the left one or two time. Even the knockback from horizontal shots didn't do much.

I like the idea! Though the invisible part was rather annoying because to be careful you stop, aim for the ground and recalibrate because of the push back. It was the tedious part :T

I love the idea of a goop gun! The music, colors, art, all fit together in a consistent fashion. Great work!

Great gameplay, but all the rest is good too.

At the beginning i didn't understand why sometimes i can't jump, than i realize x)

    Nice game.

Neat idea, and executed well too. I really like how many different purposes the Goop Gun serves. Ir can propel you upwards, it can kill enemies, it can push platforms and it can reveal invisible floors/walls - plus you need to be careful as it makes it harder for you to jump. That said, I didn't like how the invisible floors and jump restricting goop mechanics interacted. You need to shoot at the floor to see where is... and now you can't jump on it so you need to restart.

The visuals are great and fit the mood of the game well. Having so many different colours of goop is nice too. I also enjoyed the music and sound effects, though the music was a little repetitive.

      Thanks for the feedback! :)

I have made the last level in a way that you can complete it even if it is completely filled with goop. So you shouldn't have to restart it...

Really good overall, artstyle was great, the main character was cute and the gameplay felt nice. Music and audio was good if not just a tad repetitive.

Liked mixing things up through the levels, although the invisible part got a little annoying near the end.

Good job on the theme, I actually had to restart once after gooping myself in a hole so it was harmful haha.

Not much else to add, it was a tightly made nice little game, good job on this!

I enjoyed this game a lot! I loved the artstyle and music, it's very "bubbly" in a good way!

The theme was executed very well, with the gun being helpful to the movement of the player while also slowing you down if you walk on the goop, + also being harmful to the enemies!

I feel like over-all this is one of my favorites so far. I really liked how you mixed things up with the wind and invisible platforms in the later stages, even though I got stuck a bit on the part just before the ending.

    A very solid game!
