Summary

Halloween Havoc is a cute and entertaining music-based game with interesting mechanics and level design. Players appreciated the humor and surprises like the flying trumpet but found the gameplay somewhat sluggish and the teleporters tedious. A common critique was the lack of background music and additional sound effects, which made the game feel lifeless at times. Control scheme preferences and minor visual glitches were also noted as areas for improvement.

I wish there were a few more sounds and some music to fill out all the silence!

I'm not sure what's the use of the crawl besides being an annoyance (and forcing me to restart the first level because I didn't understand I could crouch jump).

There's a lot a small vertical visual glitches like if the game was constantly trying to resize or something. The black banner on top also hides some parts of the levels, and some information can be hidden by the top or the bottom of the screen (like, you have to blindly jump in level 3 with no indication that it wouldn't kill you).

It's otherwise a cute game, too bad there weren't more music to go with the theme of this game :(

    Spooky, Scary, and Entertaining.

Lack of music was kinda disappointing with this being a musical game and all, but the level design was quite interesting.

This was so funny! I got very excited when I figured out the song!! Gameplay was a little sluggish, and there could've been some more background music or sfx or something, but it wasn't a big deal, I very much enjoyed the game anyway.

The level with the teleporters was a little tedious, but any annoyance I had with that level disappeared immediately when I started the last level :D

    Great job. 💀👌

This was an interesting game! You managed to make some interesting mechanics to play around with.

That being said, for being a music based game, I'm kinda disappointed that there is only one sound effect. I realize that more sounds could have made hearing the trumpet harder, but the game feels kinda lifeless without them.

I also really wish that I could play the game with WASD instead of the arrow keys. I'm right handed, and arrow keys and mouse was kind of an awkward position for my hands to be in.

Still, the game was cute and I enjoyed it.

Dooting everyone :) It was nice idea, pretty easy game. The portals were bit annoying as you had to go through them multiple times. The flying trumpet was nice surprise. What was missing was more sounds or music during the gameplay, there were now only your trumpet. But not bad game :)
