Inspired by the Link's Awakening fishing mini-game, this bit of arcady fun is meant to last 60 seconds a round. You can definitely catch all the fish in the allotment, but the question is how good is your time?

Controls: Menu (mouse) Fishing (Z/X on keyboard, A/B on gamepad) X(A) - hold to cast, hold to reel Z(B) - cut line to recast

Very fun arcadey game. You captured the Link's Awakening style perfectly. I did manage to get 875 on my first attempt but I hadn't enabled leaderboards. After that it took me ages just to get anywhere close to that again. I ended up settling on 700. There's a lot of RNG involved but I did keep coming back for me trying to recreate that first attempt. I really like how the music begins to speed up too as things go on. Certainly makes it more frantic. Great entry.

The Gameboy-style sprites and background are great, and the music is on point (I love how much it ramps up in the last 30 seconds). The leaderboard is a great addition. Bonus points for gamepad support. Very fun!

Great graphics. I included it in my GM48: Sixty Seconds compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://youtu.be/huP5ApnGTE0

The sprites look professional and captured the Gameboy color era Link's Awakening very well. This was a super enjoyable game to play because it was really well done but also nostalgic, great job

What a cute little game! It's pretty simple but very well executed. The graphics are beautiful - I love the zelda-esque sprites. The music and audio are very good, and I like how the music ramps up as the timer counts down. The fishing gameplay is fun and it's satisfying trying to get the best time possible.

The only nitpick I have it that it seems to not let you use the keyboard controls if a gamepad is plugged in. I always keep mine plugged in, so it was a tad annoying not being able to use the keyboard.

    • After a lot of button mashing and uncertainty I found out that I am actually not a fish and there’s a fisherman.
    • You press x to cast a line, and then to reel it in. You then hold x for longer when casting to throw the line further.
    • The art is really good!
    • I like the premise, it feels like a DS game
    • I won and my score went up to 500.

It was everything I was expecting, it was frantic and I went fishing! Cute music and nice gameplay, I would've liked to have seen more fish but it's about getting that balance right for a 60 second game I guess. Very zelda-inspired too, nice one! :)

I was expecting more fish to show up, but honestly the three fish and the timeing score was a super interesting way to go about it, def some RNG in the final best score, but i think it was still super cool
