I really liked the fact that your vision was obscured vertically, it made the discovery of the level verticality that much more special. My biggest criticism would be that you don't really know where the moving platforms will turn, which could've been fixed with making their position be determined by a sine function, making them gradually deccelerate before they turn around. Overall though, amazing entry!

I almost finished the rocket ship, but I couldn't figure out how to put the last piece on :( Besides that, it was pretty fun to play. I wish the moving platforms didn't take so long though!

What a unique experience, and very cute! I'm still not quite sure why the view is so limited, it's a neat idea but I definitely found myself feeling a bit more lost for not having that extra viewing space (especially when the game's so focused on vertical movement).

It speaks terrible volumes when I was disappointed that prodding the power outlets didn't zap me 😆

Bahaha, of course you'd be disappointed in that 😂

I'm glad you enjoyed it and thought it was cute! The limited view is to emulate the like, hyper-fixated, limited view of the child's perspective. It's essentially about needing to explore to discover the possibilities of the room and your life.

I can definitely see how the choice there could be divisive - I've heard people loving it and people not liking it haha. One thing we had talked about that we didn't end up putting in (or even having the chance to experiment with) was expanding the view the higher you got, ie, being able to see more and more below you but not above. I'd be curious to know if you think that might feel better for you!

I think this has a very cute charm to it, the homely style of being a little child building a rocket is like living out a childhood dream, it's great to play though I'm pretty sure at one point the fan whooshed me in to space on its own 😅 and why does my mother have so many nuts and bolts lying around the house?! 😂
A great entry and a lot of fun, though a little slow going to begin with but I imagine that's intentional to build up the atmosphere, great job! :)

The game feel of this is very nice. The collisions are smooth and the platforms are consistent. Collecting both rocket parts and bolts is cool as well, though I wish that things you've already collected bolts from indicated that in some way, so that you don't try to shake down the same things over and over again.

I wasn't able to make the jump from the moving platform to the fan, it seemed like the distance was too far to actually make and there were no nearby platforms, so I'm not fully sure what was supposed to be done there.

The view moving vertically up and down along with the player is very unique! I think it would have not looked nearly as good if the player were statically in the center of the screen with just a thin unmoving slice of view all the time. Cool idea.

I took 1700 seconds...kept having trouble managing the platforming aspect as I'm just bad at that. It was all just a bit "slippery" for me. The art design was great and I really liked the constrained view - really reinforced the idea of being a child focused on their particular task. Nice work.

Lovely little platform adventure. Loved the attention to detail with the sound fx in particular. Really nice interpretation of that sense of childhood wonder. Also: climbing all over the kitchen cabinets when Mum is cooking.

This was SO CUTE! I loved the art and feel of the game. The hand was funny and the sound effects were really good. The platforming felt good too. I really liked the fans. Well done, I had fun!

I accidentally pressed space during both of my playthroughs and I think that was a leftover debug button, because it just finished the game for me.

Hey Swiggity! So glad you got to try it out, and glad you loved it! Looking forward to checking out your game!

Yeah, the first posted version of the game had a debug key still active but we were given permission from Peter to upload a fixed version during the normal time extension... edit: just double checked, the current download is fixed!
