This is horribly glitchy, oh well. Atleast enjoy shooting some skeletons with the first spell only

Summary
Get the Ghoulies is an unfinished but promising tower-defense style game from the 43rd gm(48) jam. Players and reviewers appreciated the solid foundation, art quality, and camera movement, but noted bugs, lack of polish, and incomplete gameplay loops. Suggestions included improving upgrades, adding more art and sound, increasing difficulty, and enhancing variety. Overall, the game shows potential if further developed.

I see what you were going for here, shame it wasn't really much :(
Getting to upgrade your status each wave would make up for a pretty decent replayability. Overall, this would've had lots of potential. Sucks to not get your game finished in time, I feel you bro :(

The art assets where great, and I wish there was more background art. Some sound design would have really helped, too. It is a shame we could not experience the other waves because it sounds like you at least somewhat developed them. I think, for future jams, you would benefit from prioritizing gameplay loop testing over art.

Super unfortunate that the upgrading is buggy, but it was fun to play around in the first wave.

Obviously incredibly unfinished, but as others have said - looks like a very solid foundation!

Really loved the art that was present, and I could see the game loop being really fun! Camera movement is A+, truly. Would love to see a more completed version of this game at some point!

It's a shame you didn't get further with this, what art and gameplay there is here is really nicely made and I'd've loved to have seen more!

I think this is a great start, you've got the foundation for a good game here but I couldn't get to the round-end part to upgrade either and I would've liked to have seen some more variety - I hope you continue to work on this and put some more variety, difficulty and some sound in to the game as it's certainly interesting building blocks for a fun game :)

While unfinished, I think you've got the moment to moment of the game pretty clear. Run around and shoot baddies, pick up a bunch of coins and buy upgrades to take on more and tougher baddies. I actually like the potential nuance for precision aiming by slowing down the character when they fire.
While just a proof of concept at the moment, I think you have a pretty good foundation to build on.

Could have used a bit more of everything, and you shouldn't be afraid to make it harder and faster. I feel like wave based games really depend on very carefully managed difficulty, and this felt a bit too much on the easy side. Either way, nice work!

It is clear the game is unfinished, but still good work for a 48 hour jam. I believe that with more time this can be improved to a nice tower-defense style game.
Some suggestions:
- spell upgrade does not work
- more art: even a dark graveyard can contain more details
- movement of the witch is not smooth
- I got stuck after few minutes with no baddies left and still being in round 1
Anyway, thanks for submission.
