It's the year 20XX and the Earth has been invaded by an Alien species known as the angels. The countless wars waged against them have made the planets surface uninhabitable and humanity can now only survive on the backs of bio engineered walking cities called Striders. It is your job to defend the last Strider on Earth against an endless onslaught of angels.

This was a stressful one. Barely managed to put it together until 5 minutes before the deadline and it still has a ton of missing art and sounds. Such is the way of gamejams.

    Think I might've broken the economy, I put down all the buildings that generate money and then could build as many towers as I wanted after that 😂 After wave 10 or so the waves were going by quite slowly so I quit, but it was a lot of fun!

    For a gm48, there is a lot of content in this game. The combination of tower defense and FPS reminded me of Dungeon Defenders or Orcs Must Die. It was a lot of fun, and I felt that the difficulty ramped up appropriately to allow me to get a good amount of play time out of it before getting destroyed. There are a couple areas that I think could have used a bit more polish, but all around, this is a good little game. Great work!

    I suggest a couple seconds of quiet time between waves to allow the player breathing room for building, but otherwise this is a very competent entry on a gameplay level! The presentation is also nice and serviceable. Good job overall!

      There is actually a 7 second delay inbetween waves. I had to set up to wait untless the screen was clear before the countdown would start but ending up commenting it out in fear that the slower pace would make people not finish the game. Ultimately a bad decision on my part 😁

    This was a fun experience. I know from past jams balancing a tower defence game can be difficult, and while not perfect I feel like you guys did a good job here. I feel like there wasn't really enough time to build once you got into the late-game, and while I was swimming with money the enemies came fast enough I couldn't spend time building, which is a bit of a shame. Some sort of rest period between rounds where you can at least put down the construction projects would have been helpful. Still, I enjoyed it overall.

    Cool game. I got so distracted trying to shoot enemies I forgot I could build stuff for a minute :) the difficulty ramp was a little steep, but it's a pretty cool game overall

    Oh there's upgrading? I guess I didn't find that part. Made it to wave 9 though. Not bad overall but a bit chaotic. Probably why most tower defense games have a lull between waves.

    Edit: played again. Called it good after I made it to round 30. Fun but the rounds get really long, and clearly the attacks need to escalate more after a certain point.

      Haha that's awesome! Balance was definitely the biggest downfall of the game. Not used to having to do all the art myself so I didn't set aside enough time to actually playtest the game properly. But I'm glad you had enough fun to get that far.

    I really liked this! My only thought is that maybe it wouldve been cool to see potential shooter upgrades. Really fun exponential growth/challenge leveling though. Very fun

    This is a really interesting genre mash-up between tower defence and shooter, I really enjoyed the intuative controls, I was a bit worried they'd be a lot to take in but I found switching between them easy and really enjoyed the upgrade system and variety you've got going on here - my only nitpick would be to use a different font choice to better suit the design of the game, but that aside it's a fun and challenging game. It ramps up fast but getting the balance right in a jam is never easy, but that didn't stop me enjoying the game so great job! :)

    This game is really good. But the game gets super hard suddenly so i think the game could be better with a btter difficulty curve
