3 technical issues to keep things different :D
- why is the sprint on the left bumper and not a trigger ? that not comfortable at all. (also, on keyboard, arrows are better for platforming games I think. At least let the player choose)
- had to alt-F4 to quit since it's in borderless :( (didn't finish it)
- way too much story for a jam ! Maybe let us skip instead of mashing buttons

Unfortunately I couldn't play the game as it is too big for my screen resolution. I understand with the limited time frame that it's not always possible to consider these things, but the game really should scale itself to fit the display.
However, I did watch tehwave's playthrough to get some idea: The art looks great, even if some of it is a bit unfinished. I obviously can't judge the gameplay too much, but it looks pretty fun - I like the sprinting. Starting the game over when you run out of lives isn't great though. The inclusion of lives at all seems a bit unnecessary.

The story was crazy fun, the gameplay was basic, but satisfying and the art was insanely good – a lot of potential!

The art is absolutely stunning, easiest 10 in art I've ever given, the gameplay is also pretty good, but other than that I'd say more than anything this game lacks polish (Oh and sound obvs) Everything feels really rushed, probably because it was, and you can see that both in the really uninspired story that is basically the default for games and anime and whatever (after the kidnapped princess of course lol), and in the lack of actual gameplay, other than the platforming.

This could be a great game with more work. The art is good, if unfinished. Sounds and music would bring it a long way as well. More abilities could give this a cool Metroidvania feel.
I'm not sure how, but I managed to hang the game a couple times while jumping on the moving blocks. I think it might have been when hitting them from the side? Not sure.

Incredible artwork and great running and jumping animations. I actually breathed a little sigh of relief when I saw the few uncolored frames of animation, because until that point, I didn't believe anyone could have made this in 48 hours. You rock!

Thanks man! Yeah we tried to make this with all the details we wanted but unfortunatly we didn't have time to do it properly specially the coloring on the animation side of things. We are currently working a bit on doing the final coloring and some backgrounds elements missing due to time for the GM48, we won't be able to update this project futher in here due to the rules but we would try to make this a small piece for portfolio. Cheers!

Sorry to see this unfinished. The art is obviously stunning, but I couldn't make it past the first few jumps.

The art in this game is awesome!! Too bad you couldn't finished it all :/, like the frame where Red isn't painted while running or the sudden change in color while jumping.
I might be wrong, but the impression I was left with is that the art and dialogue (the pursuit of a somewhat intriguing backstory) took all the efforts and left you with no time to make sounds and work more on the theme itself.
I couldn't get past the part where we have to hold to go faster and jump further... and it takes too much time to restart and try again (I did try a second time).SubmittedCangaço StandOff

Sorry to hear your frustration and we cannot update the game as it is but we are working on finished the animations colors and adding some extra background elemets to at least something finished to display, as a portfolio piece. More updates on that later. Cheers!

I really liked the character of Red. His design was really cool, and he seemed like a gritty yet funny character. I was really interested in where the backstory was going, but I found the main plot about the crystals to feel a little anti-climactic (I didn't make it to the end, I died on my way back).
Even though I played on the recommended resolution with a controller, I found the platforming a little frustrating. Red was a little too slippery to control, and the tiny platforms were more of an annoyance than anything.
It's a shame there was no sound or finished sprites because it would have made the experience a lot more immersive. I hope you do more with this world you've created!

Hey thx a lot for this feedback, we are currently working a bit extra time on this to at least have the finished animations with the colors and some background art missing due to time. We thank you for having the time to play and test our game. Cheers!

Played through all the way to the end. Firstly the graphics are amazing considering the time given. Even though they are unfinished in parts what is complete is excellent, and the characters are recycled well with colour changes to make it seem varied. Technically the parallax is very nice and looks amazing. I have a gtx970 with an I7, and unfortunately the game suffers from graphic lag, which can be tough when you are trying to land on platforms. The gameplay essentially consists of jumping from one platform to the next and reading text boxes in between. Even though it's simple, there is a story and it all works together well. Lastly unfortunately there is no sound at all. Overall an ambitious project that still looks amazing and manages to entertains for 10 minutes. Can't ask for more then that.

Thx a lot for the feedback, I can only say that the project was super fan to work on but obviously a bit ambitios on the art side, I wish I had more time to at least polish the animations and make it feel less unfinished. This couldn't be possible without the amazing work @Net8floz put into this project, he really went above and beyond to make a playable. Thx a lot for the feedback!

Tried to play the game, but the games resolution is 1.5x the size of my screen, so I couldn't see the bottom third of the game. I couldn't see what i was doing unless I jumped.

haves nice art, some of the worst platforming physics i have ever seen, for some reason you punch with "enter".

Astonishing artwork! From the preview screen, to the characters, even the platforms and levels themselves, simply beautiful. The controls are very tight and fun to play. Sprint jumping, and cutting off your inertia in midair to land on a small ledge worked well. No sound at all though?

Thanks for the feedback we tried as much as possible but yeah due to time we couldn't add many of the elements we wanted, its shows on the animations and some background elements as well NPCs missing. We are working a bit on this after the jam to have a smaller game that can be display at least a portfolio piece, hope you we can share this soon! Cheers

Cool art but the jump after the second guy you talk to is insanely difficult, and the one after is impossible.
