Lovely graphics! I included it in my compilation video series of all of the games from the GM48, if you’d like to take a look :) https://youtu.be/hQAzb_hhkk0

Really neat game. It's cool concept with an interesting use of the theme, and it can be pretty tense trying to launch the torpedo in time.
The visual style is very nice. The music and sound effects are also great and add a lot to the atmosphere of the game.
The one real complaint is that is the interface is a bit unintuitive. It can be hard telling when you can interact with something and how. Once I figured it out it wasn't too bad, though.

I took a little too long to figure out that the tools on the wall were for different actions and lost my first playthrough by about 2 seconds (it was nail-biting!), and I was able to cruise to victory on my second playthrough pretty easily. I had a lot of fun with this simple, compact game. Well done!

I agree with Kwis, the heart of steel vibe is strong in this one, art and music were awesome (except the hud, could've probably done that a little better). It's a shame the controls were so intricate, I'm sure wasd for moving would've been better, and you could've probably used just the left click for everything if movement wasn't done with the mouse, making all the controls a lot more intuitive.
Other than that the game was a little short but rewarding, it also lacks some polish, but was really fun to play nontheless.

Thanks for playing!
We originally were designing the game to work on mobile devices so we wanted to try and have only touch controls. We had to abandon that in favor of a more finished desktop HTML5 port though and the controls are a relic of that initial plan. Next time we may try to use virtual keys instead, I appreciate the feedback and am glad you liked it.

Ahhh, I knew the Heart Of Steel team was behind this!
The game was VERY confusing at first. It's not intuitive to figure out what tool you need for what and what is what. Not to mention you gotta move to the far right to build the torpedo... Usually you go in order of complexity when teaching the player to do something. I think it would have been helpful to have a "hey take the magnet and go to the right to take the torpedo parts"

Thanks for the feedback. We had planned to include a sort of minimap with indicators to help show where you are in the sub in relation to your goal but didn't have the time. Thanks for playing!

I still like your artstyle. But yeah the game was a little confusing. I spent a whole minute searching how to assemble the torpedo. Since multiple people have said it took multiple tries, I think that's because you're not guided towards the assembly area, and you notice it only when you start again.
Having the zone in the middle and parts in different places would have helped a lot I think (and make it less dull to make 3 time the same path).
Other than that it's a pretty neat idea, to bad we don't have a explosion a the end :)

Thanks for the feedback and for playing! There are definitely several things that could be optimized for the gameplay to be a bit more clear. Hopefully next time we can put in a bit more planning before implementing a layout, the time crunch was tough this jam!

I enjoyed the art here and the way you taught the player in a subtle manner. On the short side, but hey, it's a 48 hour game jam.

I was attracted to this because of the awesome tentacle / submarine icon. Looks great. Took me a few tries to get the hang of it, but one I figured it out I got to win. im all for hand drawn images. Game play was good, and everything seems to work as expected. I would love to have seen another level, and maybe even gotten the chance to interact with the nasty tentacle monster. Cheers.

Thank you for taking the time to play and comment! Next game jam I would like to add more monster interaction for sure, more levels time permitting. We will see!

Interesting art style. Took me 2 times to get through, as the first was trying to work out the systems. Music was nice and even though the controls are a little janky, it worked once you understood how they worked. Well done.

That is so nice to hear, thank you for playing! Unfortunately, there were a few takes on the monster that didn't make the final game due to time constraints, perhaps in a future version they will be included.
