This looked like a funny game done well :-D I think it presented some interesting puzzles and platforming problems, and I like how you've integrated the theme into your game. Also ++ points for having browser support for playing :-)

I got 441.5! ..Though I retried once.
I liked your interpretation of side effects. High speed is generally good, but it may make controlling the character hard. And you wrapped all the concepts with butter! The particles, music, and sound effects were great too! The only complaint is that it's hard to predict the enemy's position, though it might be intended.
Thank you for the great game!

.... incredible! I like how, beyond the joke, having a long character is interesting and makes you think of platforming in a different way. Also the butter is a perfect here, you instantly understand how it works and its relation with the theme!
Two things I'd do differently:
- The sprint button seems unnecessary, is there a point to not sprinting at all time?
- I think the camera needs to be futher away? to show more of what's coming from the right. I often messed up because I didn't know what kind of jump I needed, even after a few try on the same levels.

My original idea was a Super Mario remake where you played as a snake and the mushroom made you get longer but then my brother suggested buttered eel.
I'll definitely modify the camera if I do more with this. I just went with the nes resolution without realizing the speed would make it a little too small.

God that is the most viscerally squelchy limbless protagonist I have ever witnessed 😆
Charming lil game! The graphics were clear, the controls were good, the music was fitting, the sound effects were moist and the concept, while fit in a standard genre, was one-of-a-kind and the most interesting take on the theme I've seen so far.
Only real downside is I was absolutely terrible at it!

This game is ridiculous, in the best way. I actually spent 20+ minutes playing it. If you polished this up some, I could see people actually paying money for it.

I enjoyed this game a lot more than I thought I would. Really great concept, it's silly and entertaining in spades. The sounds are a mixture of horrifying and extremely fitting.
Because of the way you kinda wildly move around, and because of several platforming sections that require some tight jump timings, I think this game would benefit extremely from some input buffering on jumps (meaning, allowing a jump to commence the moment you land, even if you press the jump button a couple frames before you land). This feels especially important in a game like this because the way you rotate around wildly makes it hard to figure out the exact moment you actually make contact with the ground.

This is a silly, fun concept with retro style graphics and play, definitely has some speedrun potential as I can see people getting very competitive over this - I did find the downwards moving platforms were difficult to jump from as it didn't always register my jump at that point, but I'm sure a little fine-tuning can solve this. I think this is a cutesy, silly and fun entry and that's what a jam is all about, good job!

Did King Harlaus (https://steamcommunity.com/app/48700/discussions/0/1694922980048602602/) commission this game? First impression was that this game's style is a bit too simplistic for my tastes, but the amazing buttered eel sounds and the silliness eventually won me over.

Thanks. The eel sounds are one of the most detailed things I've put in a game.

Took me 699 seconds but damn it was worth it. Dare I say you buttered my eel and toasted my bread my good sir. The music was a little repetitive, but in the end I grew to like it. I did not enjoy the loud slapping sounds but that can be forgiven because I laughed my ass off at the eel as it flipped. Side effect? More like SLIDE effect.
