ColorEye
ColorEye
Each eye see the colors different and other don't even see them.
In this case you are an eye that see only the fear colors, use the different colors to see different creatures and eliminate them by enclosing them into the vision range. Don't let the fears take away your life!
Recommendations:
- Use always headphones for a better experience.
- If you are on the HTML5 version, play it on fullscreen!
Controlls:
- WASD to move
- Mouse wheel (up-down) to switch between colors
- Left click to interact or kill the creatures (hold it until they explode :D)
Sorry for the lifebar bug :(
Total development time: 10h

Lovely idea! I included it in my GM48: Colors are Important compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://youtu.be/BEHqR0Z-UhM

This game's broken. There's nothing keeping your character inside the room's boundaries. You can just hold down "Q" and "A" to reach a position far outside the room, hold down the left mouse button, then cycle through the different colors, killing every possible enemy while racking up points. I got around 3k points before I stopped playing.
There's no reason not to constantly hold down the left mouse button, that way you're always dealing damage to the enemies.
I like the concept (but could be executed better), color choice, and enemy graphics.

I really like the gameplay mechanic. It does get quite difficult with so many colours to cycle through and corners to check. Games like this are tricky in window mode because you often end up clicking out of the screen. When things get tense here, you have to react quite quickly. After a while, rotating your mouse around the screen and scrolling through colours does get a bit repetative, but it's a very nice package overall that would benefit from some more levels or content. I love the addition of the heartbeat, and the minimal art style fits the game perfectly. Enjoyed playing with this a lot. A really nice entry, well done.

Thanks you so much FrogWax! Yeah, is just the beginning of what can be the game. The window mode is not allow on .exe but if you play it on the browser you hace to make it fullscreen to about that tricky part. Thanks again and have a nice one!

Interesting design (gameplay) and color combination, the game is smooth and it's pretty straight forward, it would be nice to have the hp bar somewhere at the top or bottom to keep track of it or make the eyeball change colors depending on the health % that would help too, and maybe a small animation to the monsters would be nice too. Keep up the good work.

Great design (I love the menu layout and enemy death effect, both are inspiring). Its a very neat idea and was executed well. The health bar was a bit tough to read, perhaps moving it to the bottom of the screen or maybe even having some sort of display (circular health bar maybe?) on the eyeball would be better.
I hope you take this game further though, it could be something really awesome!

Hello Adventure Byte! Thank you so much for the inspiring feedback! I will keep improving this game (I'm working on it actually). The health bar was something that I didn't like too much and I create a better one now (animation will be on the description!).
Again, thanks bro and good luck on the competition!

The art of this game is an absolute delight! A good thing, when you are making a game about colors. There is not a lot to the gameplay, but it is simple and the heartbeat mechanic does work well to indicate the presence of enemies and set a nice unsettling atmosphere.
I don't think there is a lot more you could add to this concept, as it is pretty limited, but I think you executed your idea as well as you could have, which make for a short and sweet experience. Very well done!

Super cool concept, but what this game lacks is game juice. First off, the mouse position freezes every time the cursor leaves the window, it's way too hard to keep track of all the layers and I feel like only a split between two sides, instead of four would make the whole experience a tad bit less messy.
Good luck with the game, Droid!

Really nice smoothness to the game and love the simple clean art. Genious fitting menu. Sad the healthbar didn't fit the rest of the clean look and feel like the enemies and all were a bit big compared to how much space and colours you had to go through to clear everywhere.

Had several unkillable baddies, (baddies exactly to the right of my character) that no matter how long i clicked and held, would not die.
otherwise, fun game, well executed, and the graphics are great :)
would play again

Cool stuff! Pretty unique, and very well made. I could cheat the system a bit though, by just staying in the center in the bottom middle and not moving. And since enemies can be killed from range, I could just sit there and move the cursor to either side of the screen, killing everything on half a screen. So I would just cycle through the colours once on one side, and then go to other and repeat. But even then it was still challenging, overall very nice game!

This game has so much going for it in terms of aesthetic. It's beautiful and the style is fantastic.
I wish I could interact with it more. What if the enemies moved differently, or behaved differently? What if the heartbeat was proximity related. If it was, it needs to be a bit more severe because otherwise I wasn't really able to tell when I was in danger.
I appreciate the mouse controls. The delay of holding the mouse down was nerve wracking when I kept wanting to cycle colors. That was a great choice.

Thanks Croaks I appreciate your feedback! yeah i considered all that you said but I don't got so much time to pulish the game. On the source code was the attempt of heartbeat proximity related and make the enemies behave differently
Anyways thanks for your comments and good luck!! 😊
