Camera was wonky, hard to control. But nice you tried 3D :) I collected all the fishes, I hoped something at the end, but game only restarted :c First time I launched and I tried to play, I got an error message. I am not sure what it was about, I didn't read. It was nice little game, nothing exciting or challenging, but it's nice to have relaxing games time to time.

Thanks for the feedback! I'm very happy that I did. I got to try out a bunch of things, that I previously knew little about. As a result, I hope I can put out more content, if I try it again next time. A shame with the error message, I thought I had ironed them all out, but so be it. A lot of things, like enemies (a roomba or rats), had to be cut because of time constraints, but I'm glad you enjoyed it still.

Camera speed is too darn high! I had to reduce my mouse to 200 DPI to play this somewhat comfortably lol. I wish my mouse would go lower... >.<

After collecting all fish, the game restarted. At first I thought "oh hey, is the level randomly generated, with new fish locations?" but after exploring a few rooms it didn't seem like it.

But props for getting into 3D, man! :D I feel like everyone's first 3D attempts are gonna be janky messes, mine certainly also was! Even though it was a bit rough around the edges I still enjoyed it.

I didn't realize it was that bad lol. I'll look into some sort of standard for camera speed I guess.

You know, random fish position would have been a good addition to the gameplay. I did think about it after the jam ended too. That's a cheap trick that shouldn't take much more time to implement.

Thanks! I'd be lying if you haven't inspired me to some extent, and peaked my interest. I was really impressed by that ghost and pumpkin game you made, so I've been wanting to make my own for a while (no matter how janky).

I'll never stop being impressed by 3d in gamemaker.

My main feedback would be regarding the jump sound effect, it felt very sharp, if that makes any sense. Camera sensitivity took a bit of getting used to but that seems to happen a lot with this type of game so I wouldn't worry too much about it if I were you :)

Cute little cat adventure, well done!

I was a cat and I wanted the fish and I got the fish! Sometimes it was a bit fiddly to get into the right position to eat though. Very impressive to make a working 3D game in gamemaker in such a short time.

The mouse sensitivity is WAY too big, it was hard to control the camera. If you're going for a 3D game, then the camera is a very tricky part to master. You'll have to account for it going inside walls, or being too close to the player, or obstructing the view. Also, I don't see any reason to have catching fish as a seperate action, the game would do just fine if you always collected fish. There is a law in game design that if you can make something simpler without making it less fun, then you should do it. In my opinion, the hitbox for the cat was also way too small; I had to run around mashing the left mouse button to try to collect fish.

Thanks for the feedback. I think it comes down to the lack of playtesting. I'd gotten so used to the speed, that I hardly even notice when I'm playing now. It's my first proper 3D game, so critique like this is extra nice to recieve. I did spent hours on the camera, and I'm at least happy with the anti-view obstruction I had in place. Secondly, while I do agree, that it is a bit unnecessary, I would argue that it does add something to the game, if not just content (the animation). It feels more gratisfying to get them, adds playtime, and adds a level of complexity, to a game that is too simple to begin with.

Awesome game! Making a game with 3D in GameMaker is impressive, especially in a jam. I love the models and environment - it made me feel small. Collecting all the fish was a bunch of fun :]

Cute little game. It's fun exploring the house and trying to find the all the fish. The graphics look pretty nice. I especially like the cat with its nodding animation. The sounds are a bit annoying though.

    Cats are awesome

Nice to see a game with the cat.

Was fun to pick up the fishes so it can have fodo for the rest of the week :D Fishes could have been little more colorful to separate them from few textures.

Love the nodding cat also on this page ^^

    Good job!

I know right? Thanks for the feedback. I did notice they blend in completely with each other, but wrote it off as camoflauge anyway. I appreciate the comments on the animation too.

I like when anyone has a try at 3D, the cat model was good and it sticks to the theme well. The mouse-look / camera was a bit sensitive. Future updates could do with improvements in that department.

Always awesome to see a game made in 3D in gamemaker! I liked the simplicity. My only real big critique was that the camera was really sensitive! I would have liked to be able to rotate it with the A and S keys, and have it more zoomed out so I could see more of the room I was in. But otherwise, I love cats and really liked it. I could find all but one fish! Good work.

Yeah, it isn't the worst engine for it. I had to be a bit careful with what was put in the room, but not so much that I had to cut anything important. I've heard the camera critique before, so this is something that I'm gonna need to work on. Anyway, I appreciate it.

Well done getting the 3D to work! I love the cat character - he reminds me of one of the party ball items in Super Smash Bros Melee - the one with loads of Bob-ombs in sometimes.

The 3d was really impressive and I like cats. I found all the fish and had a blast doing it. Fullscreen was way better for me, very immersive cat experience.
