EDIT: Needed another 6 hours to make it work properly https://calvares.itch.io/the-world-is-noise Pls download itch version, version on gm48 is broken (idc about rating, just wanna you to play proper version).

4 weapons - 4 colours. Progress through to open new weapons and to meet new-colour enemies. You and them are shooting and doing stuff in the song's rhythm.

Disclaimer. Couldn't really finish this peace of game, overextended a lil bit. If you like the concept - I'll finish this game properly in a couple of days and will upload it to the itch (link will be here). First of all - all stuff that is already in this submission will work properly. Also there will be different music, variety of levels and I will add bosses. It was awesome and deadly jam for me (also the first!).

Interesting game. I included it in my GM48: Colors are Important compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://youtu.be/jmAfNqkuezc

This game has so much style. I really like how you synced up the shooting to the music, which is one crunchy groove. Sorry to hear about the gm upload not working, but i'm glad i gave that itch link a try, cause this is great. The one thing i wasn't too sure about was the recoil pulsating effect, as it seemed to adjust the view or something in an odd way. Worked fine in later, larger levels, but at the start it wasn't my favorite thing. Otherwise, stylin. Awesome job!

The original version did no work for me, but I wanted to play anyway so checked out the updated one on your itch.

I immediately liked the sound track, and then when the shooting started, it hit me. This is absolutely brilliant. The variety of enemies, weapons, and the timing of everything was soooo spot on. I would buy a full version of this game with more soundtrack variety, enemy types, levels etc. Unfortunately, I cannot rate you on this version, but I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed the playthrough. Please develop this into something bigger! So much fun!

Hey I struggled to play through the game, I was getting so many errors that I was just a bit lost, after the 5th I had to give up.

EDIT: I love N.Throne :D... Wow okay yeah that's a lot better, yeah I had issues as i'm sure most of us did with the limited time, my game is badly explained and no tutorial so a horrible big wall of a text, next time I'll focus more on user friendly. It's cool you've kept a game jam idea going :D

Man, I almost gave up right at the start, I tried shooting and the game crashed because I had no gun. For some reason it took me a while to find the first door ahah.

Anyway the game is really good so far, I'm a little disapointed that it ends so abruptly with invisible walls.

The visual and sound effects (and rhythm) when you shoot are very nice, and I didn't expect that much diversity in monsters. The colors didn't play that big of a role in this, but I'd be really interested to see where it goes.

oController.keyChangeWeapon(100011, -2147483648) not set before reading it. :< Edit: Ok, plugged in controller and it worked, sad that you can just run through room :< Especially when game is so good, and sound is so great. Edit 2: I was bounded to the middle of the room where GM icon is chasing you Edit 3: Found another bug, when you try to shoot in first room Unable to find any instance for object index '4' name 'oGun'

Love the idea of a rhythm game shooter and on top of that the different colors and different beats at which the weapons shoot is really fun.

as you mentioned in the description already the controls were a bit wonky but once you get the hang of them they worked.

Ran into a few errors and couldn't really progress a few rooms after getting the 4th gun because of some invisible walls. maybe a bug or maybe where you ended with building the levels. nonetheless the other levels I did play were really fun, well done!
