thousands of casualties.
the drifting mechanic feels AMAZING! next time add a game mode where you have to cause as much carnage as possible, that would be neat!

Great game overall, that drifting is a little weird at first but it feels so good! My one complaint would be that the animation for NPCs you need to pick up isn't that obvious when you start getting around 15, I get the colour restriction (which looks great) but I think a small addition here would help a lot, at least for me.

This was really fun, the controls feel nice and I like the visual style and color palette. It did take me a while to figure out how to differentiate between which people I was supposed to fetch and which ones would die if I ran over them. Great job, I enjoyed it!

This game is really fun and really well made! I love the regular car turning takes a while to do like real life compared to the drifting aspect you added.
Only thing that surprised me (and this is probably user error on my part), when I started the game, since the roads were connected to go off the map, I thought the connection led to another map or level based on the direction. But I just kept crashing into the wall when I kept trying haha.
Overall really fun and polished game!

Surprisingly easy to get into and know exactly what you need to do, but actually quite difficult to get good at it to a point where you can consistently get a better and better score, really great job! I especially love the visuals, it's a big throwback for me! The only "bad" thing I could point out was the fact that the screenshake went crazy even if I was just gently brushing against the edge of the map, but that didn't ruin the game in any way, a lot of fun!

I'm impressed by the amount of polish on this game. It's a very simple concept, but it's fun to play and the difficulty scales quite well. Good job!

Simple yet pretty fun game! The way the game progresses in difficulty kind of reminds me of that snake game you see in old phones, as in "the more you advance, the more your own work becomes a problem". The art style is pretty charming too, to be honest.
Great entry!

Thank you! The art worked out great because there was only like 3 things to really sit down and draw. It made it so I could focus a lot more on the mechanics, and I'm glad you don't think the art suffered because of that.

For the simplicity here, I really enjoyed this! It's like Crazy Taxi distilled to its purest form with just a tiny slice of GTA1 in the mix - and it's done with an impressive level of polish and a really nice aesthetic that made it feel great to play. Nice work!

Very well designed. The difficulty being by you delivering the obstacles yourself is very clever. Nice stuff!

I'm glad you think the mechanic is clever! That loop was the first thing I started with. Well, that and the blood. The blood was a core mechanic.

Awesome entry! Reminded me of games like snake, where you collect stuff, but traversing the level becomes ever more difficult. Really neat, arcade-y fun! The graphics were perfect too. Nothing too extravagant, but they just work. I can't even thing of how I would realize the drift marks etc. Gameplay feels really good, the drifting is satisfying. Overall very great entry!

Thank you! I ended up using surfaces for the blood and drift marks, so they were pretty easy to add in. I'm glad you had such a good time with it.

This has a nice simple concept, but it's fun, has a good progression curve and feels quite polished. The sound, particles and graphic style are also quite nice, and I like that it saves your highscore. Great work!

Absolutely nothing bad to say about this, I gotta agree with Ross's description of this game feeling like one of those flash games you try to secretly play in class when bored.
The highscore system, plus the fact that the game automatically restarts after you fail, makes the game super addictive. Before I knew it, I had been playing for like 30 minutes just trying to improve my highscore (highest I got was 19 lmao).
This is helped by the fact that the movement and controls just feels good and fun. The drifting is super smooth and fun to use (and I love the little black trails it leaves behind on the screen). Similarly, I really like the blood particles which are left behind after you get into a small... accident (when you get a game over, it's fun seeing how many more people you can take out before the game restarts). Though, by the time I finished, my screen was dyed red.
Overall, taxi trouble is a relatively simple concept that works extremely well with the theme, and that has a wonderful and well polished execution. I had a super fun time playing it, and will probably be returning to it in future whenever I have some time to kill. Great game!

Awesome sauce. Fun gameplay loop and introduction to the concepts in the way the game doesn't come to a complete halt if you misunderstand it. The art was also nice and communicated well what they were. Nothing negative to say.

Great game. Loved the controlls and the drifting felt so good. The polish on this was really nice with all the effects. The sounds were good and the art was amazing. This game felt like one of those old flash games that you would play while the teacher wasn't looking. Great game man.
