The highly anticipated sequel to the highest grossing 35th place entry of the 32nd gm48 is finally here!!

You embody a wayward delivery person who's only goal is to deliver a precious box of pretzels to the other side of a valley. Unfortunately, the night of saturday lay heavy in the air- and the boys™ know a good time when they see one

You must punch and kick your way through hordes of these crazy boys, but watch out! they will try to steal away your precious cargo!

Controls: WASD: move left and right. Space: jump

Originally I meant to put button combos and hints in the game, but i ran out of time, so please check them here: While holding a box: UP + K: throw your box upwards K + moving: throw your box forwards. L + moving: dive while also throwing your box in front of you.

While NOT holding a box: K: light attack L: heavy attack light > light > heavy: uppercut! sends enemies flying and staggers them (while in air) light > light > heavy: downwards slam while moving + L: pounce.

There are alot of things I wish I could have gotten around to. I feel like this is a wasted idea with this version of the project. Alas, this is gm48 and not gm72.

Super jank, but you leaned into it and it was so much fun - I love the franticness of it and desperately wish there was audio as well

You have an eye for style, but the gameplay didn't feel too great. I just ended up ignoring enemies and throwing the box through the level since fighting felt so unintuitive to me. Would love to see what a complete version of this looks like though.

I have absolutely no clue how to rate this game. It's extremely jank, but this is the most fun game I've played so far.

My current speedrun time is 17 seconds, is that the world record? 😆

My goodness, that's a lot of boys. Presentation was excellent, everything from design to all the polish on the UI and transitions. Playing felt a little awkward though. It overall feels like it goes a bit too fast for comfort, especially when trying to do any of the combos. I would often just get stuck for a bit or the velocity would bug out and send me flying. So I changed my strategy and just ran with the box but that didn't feel as interesting as the other part of the game so my motivation was a bit at odds. All the elements are there though and I would love to play a tuned up post jam version of this if you ever feel like making it. Thumbs up

It might've been a little while since I played more complex platformers, but for me the game felt way too difficult. I'm sure that wasn't the intention, but I struggled to get past the first few obstacles, even after reading the more "advanced" controls. However, aside from that, the presentation is absolutely incredible, I love the menu, the transitions and the little load screens (nice rtx btw).

All the art is great from character design to colour pallette (maybe the death screen could use a bit more time, but it works well regardless). I was also impressed by the shader and pseudo (?) loading screen, although I am usually against it unless it serves a bigger purpose. Here it helped give off the SNES vibes that I assume you were going for, just with an indie spin. Would have been awesome to see some more mode-7-esque-shader-magic, but then the game was already so incomplete. This is a shame. I think that it could really turn out to be a really sweet if some things were ironed out like, more responsive controls, more box shenanigans/purpose, a score to fit the game and really any sound hehe. Always good to see your games, if just for the artistry!

Very good art and gamefeel. I love fighting nude men at night. Thank you for letting me live this moment.

First of all, the art is amazing! such smooth animations and unique sprites. The loading and game over screen were really cool too, and I liked the box throw mechanic! I feel like this game could be a lot more with some more time put inro it. more level variety etc. But given the 48h timeframe, it's still impressive!

I think the art and smooth movement of this game is amazing, it looks beautiful but I feel that some sound and some clearer instructions as to what I'm meant to be doing would have been a huge difference. Adding these elements, it would genuinley feel like a complete release, so I really hope you do work on this post-jam as it has some great potential, nice entry, great job! :)

Though I really like the art of this game, the gameplay feels very clunky. Since there isn't a jump option as far as I know, I had to use the uppercut in order to reach higher parts of the map, and even inputting those commands feel clunky. Not to mention the bugged movement at times and the fact there is no sound nor an actual victory screen.

I'm really sorry you couldn't finish this in time, this could have so much potential, but oh well, you tried, kudos for that.

I managed to JUST barely complete the level on my first play through! The amount of polish on what you were able to finish is astounding. The game is cute and some music thrown in would have been just icing on the cake. I know you ran out of time, but kudos on what you were able to get done!

Thanks so much! I wish I could have worked more on the gameplay, but I'm glad you appreciate the polish- that is what im good at, afterall.

This was a pretty ambitious entry and it's unfortunate that it seems you ran out of time (I mean, the death screen basically confirms it, haha). I like the idea of what you're going for, but the game does feel like it needs more time in the oven and it's kind of hard to play in this state. The controls felt a bit loose for my liking and I stopped playing after getting the same error message twice in a row (I put it below, in case you hadn't seen it yet). Still, I enjoyed the art and can see what you were going for. If you do end up making a post-jam version I think it could be quite successful.

Thank you so much for the feedback. If i had another 24 hours I am sure this game would be much better. It is really a shame that the mechanics were wasted due to lack of time. While I have a main project i'd like to commit my time to, i may update this someday... who knows!?
