Very nice graphics! I included it in my compilation video series of all of the games from the GM48, if you’d like to take a look :) https://youtu.be/RxB8WIjpWF0

Neat game. There isn't too much to it but it's still pretty fun trying to hit the other dog. I didn't get to play multiplayer but I appreciate the inclusion of an AI so I could still try the game.

The graphics are very cute. I really like how the dogs look when they get hit by a paintball. The sound effects also fit very well.

    Loud paintball guns indeed :D

Really fun game, it's pretty easy the beat the AI, but I guess the game is a blast to play with a friend :)

Deleted my installer/controller rant hoping you'll get a notification for this feedback. And wah, glad you could replace it with a non-installer version! Much appreciated.

The base window is set to 1:1 ratio? Cause it's veeeeeery small; I personally prefer when the scale is x2 usually, as a 1x ratio is often too small to understand.

    Anyway, about the game:

Pretty fun! Unfortunately haven't got a friend in hand before the end of the ratings though, but it was fun to play against the bot.

It's fast, it's cool. Really a shame you initially uploaded it with an installer! I like how family friendly it is because you shoot paint. It's responsive and it feels nice overall!

My tiny rant is that the impossible mode is still very easy (or at least it was for me) But I bet that with a game as fast, it must be difficult to set.

It would have been actually kinda fun to have a story mode. Like maybe you go through levels and the last levels have several enemies! Would have spiced the challenge

Cool game, pretty solid gameplay, loved the way they move on tiles, had a lot of fun playing this game. Good job!

Also, I think players will get stuck by not having a controller, anyways it is a lot of fun game, had a good time playing it

As you're probably painfully aware by now, the controller being mandatory was a bad choice, I'm also not sure if anyone else had this problem, maybe it's a new one caused by the zip version of the game, but I tried all 3 of my controllers and noone worked, the art looks nice tho, so there's that.

I really wanted to play this game because it seemed like a really good one, can't say how good because I couldn't play it tho, but I think the controller and installer options ultimately ruined it for you, which is really a shame, I'm sorry.

Edit: I have a logitech that works almost every time, and two shitty gamestop controllers that save me when the logitech doesn't work (Or when I have to play with someone else :P)

It's all good, I plan on releasing an updated version after the contest is over. I promise it's fun!

Peter "tehwave" repackaged the game for me, so it's not too late for players to find it installer-less!

What kind of controllers do you have? Xbox / PS are the happiest, and other controllers I have (like the Buffalo SNES) map differently in GM (which I didn't have time to account for).

I agree with kwisarts that requiring a controller is weird.

The gameplay is decent. Would have been better on analog stick. The small resolution makes it hard to see the action. I did like the shooting. I felt responsive, but the weird control and small resolution shut it down for me quickly. Also don't use installers. Package as zip. Good art too. gets the point across well

      Hey thanks for the feedback!

You can resize the game window, or make it fullscreen by pressing F11!

@tehwave helped me out and repackaged the game as a zip! I won't make that mistake next jam.

I really like this game! Its simple and fun, and, even though its not super complex, I like the art a lot. Also, the AI is pretty decent considering this was made in only a few hours. Well done!
