You want to travel to the skys, to space, to infinity and beyond! The issue is your only transport is a cloud, and they're prone to... falling apart (coincidence?!). You must harpoon onto other passing clouds and dig them up so you can repair your own cloud, avoid/deflect asteroids, and deal with any pesky sky-cloud-pirates that show up! How far into space can you make it?
- WASD - Movement (Push the cloud around!)
- LMB - Shoot gun (Uses cloud matter)
- RMB - Use harpoon (Attach/Detach)
- E - Dig (Gathers cloud matter)
- Q - Repair cloud (When near cloud machine, uses cloud matter)
- ESC/Pause/P - Open menu (Does not pause the actual game, but you can toggle music/sound/fullscreen etc)
- ALT - Respawn (If you get stuck somewhere, but you shouldn't need to use this! You will lose any carried cloud matter)

Looks great, cute and silly characters and the sound effects are good :) Music fits well to the game, and premise of game is unique, cloud harvesting and cloud pirates. My score was 4057, I think I tried to play four times, but I felt my cloud disappear too fast ^^" Maybe bit faster control of cloud (smaller cloud -> faster?) could have worked, as now it felt bit sluggish. But I don't have anything bad to say about this game, overall it was great entry!

Quick feedback: it good, I like.
The way the clouds are used for everything is interesting, but I think this idea could be use to simplify the controls too! For example there no reason to have two different keys for digging and building, since it's basically two contextual actions. The game would also really benefit from a training area (I'm still not sure how to interact with asteroids, and if the different colors mean anything)

Really nice game and fantastic art. Everything looks great and I just love the whole style in general.
The gameplay is a lot of fun although I found it quite difficult. That's just me though. It was all simple to understand I just wasn't very good at it. I will say I didn't realise the game had begun at first. You get the tutorial text as the game starts and I figured that was just a practice screen where you can read the instructions and try out the controls. By the time I realised the actual game had started it was too late. Probably best to seperate the tutorial text from the main game so first time players don't have to try and play, read and learn at the same time.
Other than that there wasn't really anything else wrong with it. It's a fun little game. Great job.

This is a really polished and well put together game with a very distinct "kwis" style and some excellent mechanics, great job!

Havik, I respect you for successfully creating a collision system with procedrual, moving platforms changing in size.

Lots of charm to this game! I like the aesthetic, I like how active you have to be, and the various tasks you have to do. And I like the dynamic terrain. The physics interactions of shoving stuff around with the cloud gun are fun and has some nice feedback to it. It just has a fun and active game loop to it, which I think is the most important part of game design.
The balance of resources feels a bit odd, since you can shoot tons and tons of shots with a tiny bit of cloud matter, but repairing your cloud with the same amount will only give a couple percent.
And I wish you could harpoon your own cloud from another one, since if your cloud drifts just a few pixels away while you're harvesting, you're left stranded and it's essentially an instant game over.
Last thing, is there any lore to why a flan and a fish are teamed up? Are they cloud hunting for sport, or maybe running from the law? I want backstory! :P

Gorgeous game! I agree with some others that the controls were a little wonky, and the tip about the tutorial also stuck out to me as something that's a little frustrating at first.

Yo whats up kwis, and havik!
Pretty neat game you two made this time! it's very cutesy and fun (shooter?).
The game's strengths and weaknesses are pretty straight forward so I'll just list them in a pros and cons format, but overall I did really like it.
Pros:
- It's really nice to look at! video games are as much a visual media as they are in interactive, heck half of the name is video! so all the art work, particle effects and over all color if nice too look at!
-
the focus on the cloud vs the player. with the theme of falling apart, having the play getting killed/ or fighting enemies really not mean anything works. as long as the cloud is protected that's all the matters! it plays well into the theme but it also reinforces the whole cute and fun aesthetic the game has.
-
The goal is simple but straight forward. with it being a simple highscore game, the goal falls to just play the game as long as you want, be it a quick look or a need to get on that leaderboard. and I think for a game jam that's a pretty good approach.
Cons:
-
the controls where a little uncomfortable, WASD for movement is fine, it's the secondary actions that case issue when used in a wasd format. E and Q are great for quick interactions but when I'm trying to feed the cloud and dodge meteors holding Q and moving with WASD forces an uncomfortable claw like hand position. if you have used shift ctrl or space bar then my thumb or pinky that wasn't active could have taken the roll freeing my main fingers to move around. also the same thing applies to E for digging but to not as strong of a stent.
-
you can move the cloud without standing on it. it doesn't happen to othen, but you can start moving the cloud while still standing on a different platform, forcing myself to watch it get destroyed while I wait to fall offscreen to respawn. this happened to me twice, so I may just be breaking the game without trying again but it still soured my mood and made me stop playing. I would be nice if the core you stuff clouds into could be a seat you can sit on and move it from the center. That or make it so you can call the cloud back to you from anywhere.
-
and my last complaint is that the pause button does not pause the game. Some games it works fine, but those games normally have safe areas you can step away if needed. So it's kinda only there to leave the game, and not a “pause” to take a break or step away if something happens.
Any ways that more or less the thoughts I had, it's a pretty fun game with a neat idea. I don’t see myself coming back to try for a high score, but I’m still glad I played it. Nice work guys!

yes, i made an account just to leave feedback
it's a cool concept and i like it, feels like it could really make a great game if it were expanded on as a concept
points docked for there not being a way to read the tutorial before starting the game leaving me to try and figure out what to do while the game is progressing and my cloud is disintegrating
also a true shame how my name doesn't fit the name box, but that's not exclusive to this game either

Damn that music was soothing and that pudding with a fish bown head is great character design :D
Beside the controls being a little wonky, this was a really cute game! :3
