Really intense game! I included it in my compilation video series of all of the games from the GM48, if you’d like to take a look :) https://youtu.be/kfb6IM-P_cA

Really fun, interesting submission! This is my first time seeing 3D in Gamemaker, and I have to say that it worked really well for you.
The platforming felt a little odd at first, but once I took some time to learn the dimensions of the player it became fun blasting through each level trying to reach the core at the end.
Overall, this is very well done :)

This is a really cool game! From the flashing colours, to the great music, to the slow motion when shooting at the core - everything fits together to create a fantastic style. First person precision platforming with a strict time limit isn't exactly the most fun thing out there, but the presentation carried the game and helped me to overlook that.

I made it to level 9, and will keep going till I beat it completely. This game was such a great entry for this competition! It was both fresh and challenging as well as very polished!
My only complains were how the controls gave me a bit of a cramp on my hand after doing all the platforming with the WASD keys lol.
One more thing though. Was it just me or you guys made wall jumping a thing? If you didn't intend for this to happen, then it is a very fun exploit i found while playin the game. I was able to beat most of the levels by just wall jumping taking shortcuts. It was fun and challenging! Great job!!

This game is not just a good one, it is a proof of how impressive games game maker can make, pretty solid gameplay, cool concept, had a lot of fun playing it. This game deserves a 10 out of 10 for sure.
Good job!

I just got the same error as Vinnie_V :(
My cumputer specs:
Lenovo PC
Windows 10 home v 1607
Processor: Intel core i5-4200M CPU @ 2.50 GHz 2.49 GHz
I don't really know what that means but maybe you can get some information out of it :)

Anyone reading this and having the error, I'd like to hear your computer specs. About 60% of players have successfully played this and 40% is way too high failure percentage. I'm still suspecting some weird GameMaker magic happening, but I can't be sure what it could be. I'm sorry to hear that you are one of those who can't enjoy my masterpiece... :/
EDIT: According to specs, looks like integrated chip problem again...

Throws me this error on boot:
############################################################################################ FATAL ERROR in action number 1 of Draw Event for object obj_ver_high_wall:
Fatal Error: Can not create vertex buffer of size 147456 bytes 2904 vertex buffers allocated with total size of 904784 KB at gml_Object_obj_ver_high_wall_Draw_0 ############################################################################################
The error code is slightly different from Vinnie's so I hope this might help

Oh I wish, that's the 4th reported similar problem so far. Some can play without any problems and rest just crash instantly. When I send it to testers, everyone were able to play and complete the game without problems. Looking these error messages are just painful as I have no idea what would cause it... I still want to believe it has something to do with integrated graphic chips. :/

Overall, this was a very impressive 48 hour game. The soundtrack kept me engaged, despite getting frustrated with the precision platforming sections. The secret crystal things were a neat treat and a tough challenge. The maze was nearly impossible to navigate without any landmarks and with the very-close-up neon cubes.

Really impressed with how well the 3D was done, and other than some weird collisions here and there it is flawless, level design was pretty good aswell and the game was overall a ton of fun. If anything I would've worked a little more on the art, not that I have anything against neon cubes, but that maze level was horrible with all those lights in my face hahaha.

Technically very impressive for a game jam, especially in GM. The level design is nice and sneaky as well. The collectibles give it some legs too. Only technical glitch is sometimes I would get stuck in the floor when just making a jump. Jumping again usually made me stand up though.
Great job!

I can't get it to run. :(
It throws this error as soon as the window opens:
############################################################################################ FATAL ERROR in action number 1 of Draw Event for object obj_floor:
Fatal Error: Can not create vertex buffer of size 147456 bytes 2481 vertex buffers allocated with total size of 843872 KB at gml_Object_obj_floor_Draw_0 ############################################################################################
(It could be that my desktop doesn't have a dedicated graphics card right now, but if this is a fixable error, I'll totally play an updated fixed version, if you want to post one in the description!)

That's really unfortunate to read.
> doesn't have a dedicated graphics card right now
This doesn't happen to be Intel's chip (don't member the exact versions of it)? I know it has caused problems even on 2D games, so that could be one causing the issue...
It's hard to fix this as I'm not sure how to reproduce this issue. :/

Impressive 3D entry. At first I was thinking the movement speed was WAY too fast. But after the tutorial level was over and I understood it was a race against the clock game I got it. Nice soundtrack and impressive amount of content given the 48hrs.
I'm mixed on the neon colors . They definitely add to the retro feeling, but seem to start to blur together when you are going fast. Especially in the more claustrophobic levels.
Cheers!

It's not often that you see a 3D Gamemaker Jam game, this game is very well done!
