Hello World
Ended up biting more than I could chew, but I gave it my all and here's what i've turned up with! The concept is simple, Death now has a side effect! Everytime you die you resurrect as whatever killed you last, you must use these abilities to your advantage so you can climb up the tower and escape!

Reminds me of a very gruesome version of mario odyssey. I was surprised at how fresh it was throughout

Really cool puzzle ideas. I guess the side effect is that you change depending on how you die. Which is pretty neat. I liked the animations as well. I will say, I ended up in stuck in a glitch many times with the wall jumps, but I was able to get out of it with the "press F to die" mechanic. Then, I got stuck permanently when I turned into a spike, but it didn't shoot and just stayed there. Then I respawned on that same spot and couldn't do anything but restart the game. Other than that, the wall jumping was a little awkward, but good job overall!

I think this is a very unique concept, you don't often see "becoming the last thing you died" as a mechanic and I really the idea, I think a little polish around the edges would have helped with this and a little more clarity about what you're meant to do at the spinning blade bit as I didn't know how to progress from there. You've got some great foundations here and I hope you expand on this as it would make a great full title once the small issues have been worked out :) good job!

Nice game! The ideas were unique and interesting, and the music and art were pretty good! I had one issue where I got stuck while wall jumping, but otherwise it was a very solid and stable game. Nice job :)

With more playtesting after the submissions its safe to say there are bugs a plenty! I'm gonna have to iron them out that's for sure :P

Thank you for playing my game ^_^

    Pros:

    • Nice use of the theme
    • Cool graphics
    • Really enjoyed the music!
    • Great use of checkpoint system
    • Good tutorials

    Cons:

    • Bit hard to continue at one point (where the spinning blade is) i had no idea how to continue (tried spawning as spikes or the spinning blade but nothing seemed to happen)

    Good stuff overall!

It seems i've had a lapse in my puzzle making skills somewhere in the middle. The game is definitely finishable but I've had many players get stuck at the same point as you now, I can probably tweak it better..

Thank you for the feedback! and for playing my game :D

A small game with a pretty cool idea! Bold of you to make a puzzle game, I know those are one of the hardest types of game to make. Pretty enjoyable overall.

I most definitely bit off more than I could chew and struggled to crawl and fight my way till the deadline. I'm glad you enjoyed the game, thank you for playing!

A bug with the wall jump made this one a bit harder than it should've been. Aside from that, not a bad bit of work. Novel concept, decent use of theme, good graphics and atmosphere, though the music could've matched better. I appreciated the tutorial at the beginning as well. The game was a bit short though.

Thank you for playing and taking the time for the feedback! I agree with everything you said myself >.< The game was intended to be longer, I guess I bit off more than I could chew within the timeframe.. Regarding the walljump bug, could you please tell me the steps to recreate it? I would like to be able to fix that

Very promising. Good overall presentation. It took a second to figure out, but I liked the spike block puzzle at the beginning. I couldn't get past the part with the saw blade. Also, the wall jump seemed finicky--like, sometimes it would just bug out and the player would get stuck against the wall. Oh well. Good thing there's a suicide key.

Thank you for playing my game! This was my first time implementing wall jump so no surprise it turned out buggy 😅, but could you tell me how to recreate the bug?

Good Concept! The visual design is really well made. The sound effects and the music are also good. I only found what seems to be one bug with the Saw transformation being stuck when you go inside the dirt, but as long as i follow the tileset nothing stops me from enjoying this nice game. Congrats on the Game!

There are a whole bunch of bugs i'm sure I haven't even found out yet >.< I'm just happy it was more or less playable till the end very least. I'll look into the bug you've mentioned though! and Thank you for playing :D

Amazing concept with a couple of interesting puzzle ideas. Really good at teaching the player. Has some movement quirks you have to learn (-or you'd get stuck in walls).

This was my first foray into any sort of real level design, let alone giving the player a form of tutorial. I'm happy it was able to come off well.. Thank you so much for playing!
