I like the art! its cute! i think there is alot to be desired when it comes to gameplay, and I feel like the tasks you need to do pile up faster than the player can walk. I think some more gameplay elements would make this alot more interesting. the music and art is fun though! good work!Submitted
This is a cute and charming game with a pretty well defined gameplay loop, and I think it accomplished what it sets out to. The art style is nice, if a bit plain (the city could use with a bit more life in my opinion). One issue with the visuals was with the numbers on the doors, the yellow color of some buildings made it difficult to see the numbers, and the font you chose also made many numbers very difficult to read (7,8, and 9 look particularly strange), although this is somewhat helped by the fact that the buildings are in order. I enjoyed the day/night cycle and the way the music changed, that really helped give the game a cozy vibe. The gameplay is fine, but it got a bit old for me near the end of the second day. I think something I've learned about game jam games is that a brief experience is much more satisfying than something drawn out and that takes a lot of time to complete, and between finding objects in the city and waiting for another object to find, this game took a lot of waiting..
Not saying it would necessarily be better, but I'd be interested in a version of this game where all of the things to find are already on the ground, that way players can try and memorize the locations of lost objects before they're told to collect them. It would cut down on the "grid search pattern" gameplay I found myself falling into, and also reward players who complete tasks quickly with time to memorize the locations of items. Just a thought.
Overall though, I think this was a well put together game that combined sound, art, and gameplay into a cohesive package that all worked well together.Submitted
This is a really cute game, and aside from a few small bugs, it's quite a bit of fun! The music was great, you guys did a great job with it, especially with it changing based on the time of day. The game definitely relies on luck quite a bit, but that's not necessarily bad, however, sometimes if I deliver something too quick, I might be standing around for a while with no objective at all, and I can only guess where I should go next, but often times I'm wrong. The character design was great, although the map itself could use a little more details here and there. Other than that, it was really fun!Submitted
The art and story is incredibly well done, plus the character is so cool. Why are they working at such a dead-end job? And then with such a distinct evil character as the boss. I would love to see a development of the universe with more questions and more answers like the the television show LOST haha. As for negative things, I suppose the gameplay was a bit unexciting. I ended up trying to come with different algorithms as for the safest way to find and retrieve the items, and keeping track of where they definitely are not. Honestly not too bad, and it fully works with a leaderboard and everything.
Lastly, the music was lovely. I found myself humming along a bit and reminiscing about playing farming games. Also liked the title card.
The title screen with the animation is amazing and i really liked the sprite of the cow and even the sprite work of the items.
The gameplay is a bit too chill for my liking. You just wander around, search for items without hints or directions until you find it and then deliver it to the respective hosue. Some challenge, maybe traffic on the road or something, could have improved the experience tremendously!
I really liked the transition to nighttime tho, really took me by surprise, as even the music tune changed. Very neat! And the music had me vibin'

It's a very cathartic experience playing this, I can see myself zoning out and delivering the items. I think the main character is super cute though the artwork for the buildings could be spruced up a bit to bring the street to life a bit - but it's a nice, simple game loop which felt like a plesant experience
Oof the blinking is kinda vveird vvith hovv it affects the shirt and ears, especially vvhile the head isn't moving to really merit that, blink happens often too. I do like the base being vvorked vvith here tho, not sure if polishing vvas done in the last 4 hours of the jam or not, but I vvon't blame you if you didn't.
The Song sounds pretty aight, though it's a bit short, but makes sense considering the short time of the jam.
I quite like the font, even the slightly off 'y' is charming. The text thingy after the title has a good use of the typevvriter technique and looks to be helpful in communicating the goal.
In the general gameplay I found myself being a bit bored, though having my left key being split in half likely didn't help. Some positives are the items list and vvhere to deliver them at the top-right alongside their associated timer, the vveird radio thingy sound helps you knovv vvhen something nevv appears. The sprite set for the covv guy looks cool, although it is contrasted by the bland-looking background.
Despite this, I played until the end of the first day knovving that something vvould probably happen aftervvards. I ended up missing a good number of items in my run of the game. The Detail of adding a second song variant for the latter half of the day vvas greatly appreciated to ease the monotony of playing the game, I did end up noticing that lighting bug mentioned in the description and it stuck out like a sore thumb.
Once I finished my shift, I vvas greeted by a neat little cutscene graphic of the big boss guy and some dialogue and got fired. It vvas pretty cool and might've been the highlight of the game, I quite like the bit of oomph given to the fired stamp in particular that follovved up his red eye and finger point, it's quite a smart decision to dravv the boss as he vvas for both stylistic reasons and as a method of saving time to vvork on his assets. I guess I'd also say the vvork hours are over sound is pretty cool, and I like hovv that cuts off the music.
The game fit the theme for this game jam quite vvell, regardless of vvhat I think of the quality of the product itself.
Overall Opinions: The game is inoffensive and the main gameplay isn't fun enough to make the cool details that are around to be highlighted, it isn't exactly bad enough for me to vvrithe in agony, but it vvas incredibly boring to play. The only real thing driving me vvas curiosity to see vvhat vvas at the end of the first day, paying attention to various details for feedback purposes may have also helped me milk vvhat little enjoyment I could get out of it too. This game may be a flop, but I'm sure that these developers can use that to better themselves in future games.
